The USA made guitars are rad and the older japan models called standard are great but this EII thing is the worst marketing decision ever. I would not buy any guitar label an EII. Ridiculous. I have no idea why ESP would remove their name from their guitar? Are you not proud of a $2500 guitar? The old ESP Standard logo was great. This EII thing has to go.

Just talked my husband outta of this. I went through all the ratings with him.

I told him this is too much money to risk on a subpar guitar. All the really positive ratings are YEARS old. I told hubby “it looks like they have poor quality control. Poor customer care, and their product has slipped in quality. We are not taking a chance on them”

First and last time buyer of their LTD brand of guitars. For $799.00 they offer the M-400, which I purchased and quickly exchanged due to major QC issues. The next one was better so I kept it. As I let it settle in for a few days, I started my personal set-up and quickly discovered that their pickups have almost no adjustment, due to the foam installed under the PU's along with no springs, and mounted with wood screws. Only fix was to install PU rings like the original M-400 used to have. After having a little experience with the Floyd Rose Special (cheapest one from FR), I replaced it with an all steel FR Original, made in Germany. That problem solved. Since the guitar comes with fantastic active pu's, I installed an active tone control with all EMG wiring which is solder-less and easy to do. Started having issues with the neck, took it off the guitar and found a sticker on the bottom of the heal, and covered over with whatever coating they use. This made wood to wood contact impossible. In the neck pocket of the body was part of a steel screw that was left protruding and actually made a hole through the label and into the neck. The nut is not the right radius. The FL spring claw was so far off center that the outside spring on one side obviously was scrapping the body. They also grounded the bridge through the claw, which EMG says is no no. I have tried everything to get this thing right. I even took it to the best repair shop in town, and after one look, they said the neck was not repairable. He also called ESP to see about purchasing a new neck. Guess what? They don't sell parts. ESP said that because of my necessary upgrades, my warranty was void. This is just my humble opinion and personal experience with this manufacturer. For them it is cheaper to replace than repair. After all, this guitar probably costs them less than $200.00 bucks to make in Indonesia. It is not worth the money they ask.

The peope where friendly to some extent.
But I was not met with the same tone when I said I had concerns with a guitar made in america and still get any of the ESP quality.
So I knew I might not be met face to face with this, being european and had all the knowledge on the material and builds from my work with an s.korean factory and what jibberish sounds like.
I never got anything but events I could be without.
Surely this has only finacial reasons for nationalistic costumer with a low interest in reality.
